(2017) Italian government plan for call center reshoring La repubblica
The Italian Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda is ready to contact the major Italian companies that are using call center located abroad and ask them to sign a memorandum of understanding, in which these companies declare that (1) 100% of the calls made by their in-house call centers will be done in Italy and (2) 80% of their outsourcing call center will be done in Italy. The goal of the initiative is to bring at least 20,000 jobs back to Italy.
