Go Voyages (France) is a famous online travel agency, which is the market leader in Europe and one of the subsidiaries of eDreams Odigeo (Spain). eDreams Odigeo is one of the world’s largest online travel companies and it is founded in 2000. Now it has five leading brands: Opodo, eDreams, Go Voyages, Travellink and Liligo. In August 2017, Go Voyages announced that it eliminated around 73% (82 out of 112) of its workforce in France and would relocate its activities from France to Barcelona (Spain). 'We had to make a difficult decision in order to restructure our business and safeguard the competitiveness of the group' said by the management team of the company in the e-mail. There are only 30 employees who would continue to be responsible for marketing in Grands Boulevards (Paris) where Go Voyages is located. According to an employee of the agency who was among the first recruits in 1997, the travel agency has been facing a crisis due to the high number of competing travel websites. Moreover, customers tend to purchase products directly from companies rather than using intermediaries. Therefore, the Go Voyages  customer service used to be an asset, but now it is not an asset anymore.
