Case narrative:

Kiplay is a French company established in 1921 which produces technical, protective and security work-wear. During the '90s, it outsourced the manufacturing in Tunisia and Asia for costs reasons. However, in 2016 it back-reshored the production activities belonging to two product lines (vintage work-wear and jeans-made products) in its French plant located in Normandie. The company invested over 200 000 euro in the plant automation, and hired 12 new employees. The CEO stated that the decision was due to the company desire to produce closer to consumers and take more attention to sustainability. Production of parka and other basic products is still maintained in Asia.
